Art-making machine? Illustrating machine? I have no idea, but apparently I've been on a roll lately and I couldn't be happier! And I hope by saying that that I'm not jinxing myself.. heh.
co-sign! have you thought about putting your illustrations on stuff and selling them on etsy or something? i'd totally buy cards or tote bags or something!
yes, i have thought about making these into cards a couple of years ago, but i never knew how to go about it. and an old friend of mine had suggested selling them on etsy.com awhile ago too, but again i never got around it to because i just never knew where to start! i guess you can say i'm still trying to figure that out.. but thanks so much! i'll definitely keep you in mind when i do figure it how to get these out to the public, hahaha.
if you could get them done with a local printer -- you'd need money up front for that, but then you could sell those on etsy.
maybe zazzle or cafepress? that way you wouldn't need money to make anything and they'd kind of take care of it all for you. it'd be a pretty sweet side gig, then if you really wanted to make serious dough, you can research papermaking or something? (i think that's why etsy's more popular with the people who can make stuff from scratch, lol).
haha i know, i'm definitely trying to find the cheapest way to make them -- i'd even do them on my own printer if it was good enough! but it's not the greatest printer.
i also thought about selling my stuff through MOO.com but they aren't currently accepting any "designers" (haha i feel weird calling myself that). but maybe when they start accepting again, it will be a possibility :)
i never checked out zazzle before but i know that cafepress takes a % of your sales, which i guess makes sense.. it's possible moo.com does the same, but i have no idea. it would be great to use these sites, but i do love the idea of making it on my own somehow and just selling it on etsy.com. i guess in the end, it's going to have to require me to budget a little money towards it even for maybe cardstock and printing somewhere if i really want to do that. in that case, i'll probably have to do a little trial and error probably before anything ever happens! haha
